A 2-night 3-day high country experience that will leave you feeling invigorated, connected and inspired. This is a fully guided E-bike adventure into the backcountry of the Lake Hawea station for an overnight stay in a tastefully renovated musters hut, matched with fresh locally grown food and drinks.
Lake Hawea Station is one of New Zealand’s premier High Country Stations, situated in the spectacular Queenstown Lakes District. The property enjoys uninterrupted views of the picturesque Lake Hawea to the West and North and alpine, tussock and beech forest ranges to the East.
We have been working LHS, and it’s amazing owners and staff to create some extraordinary experiences for those searching for something a little different. Our one day and multiday tours offer a chance get up close and personal with this unique land, the sustainable farming operation and the people who make it happen.

Itinerary
Day 1
Direct flights into Queenstown from major NZ airports and Australia means landing morning of the tour is possible, or take time to explore Queenstown first (Please contact us of Queenstown hotel bookings, transport and/or more riding options
11:00 am Transfer from Queenstown to Lake Hawea Station (Helicopter transfer option available)
12:30 pm Arrive LHS, time for a light lunch and introduction to the farm and some of the crew.
1:30 pm Fit-out bike and helmets etc, then it's onto the trails heading towards the high point of the station, Breast Hill.
4:30 pm Arrive at the hut - time for a cold drink or dip in the river to cool off.
6:00 pm Dinner - catered dinner included, though we have options to bring out a chef to cook onsite over the campfire (please contact us to enquire)
Lodging: Musters Hut (Backcountry)
Day 2
Rising to the peaceful sounds of the Central Otago Backcountry, we'll enjoy a relaxed breakfast and some fresh coffee brewed up over the fire.
9:00 am We'll jump back on the bikes (with freshly charged batteries of course ;) ) Then it's off up the hill to some more spectacular riding on our way back to the station.
10:30 am Morning tea break at the top of Grandview range with 360-degree views, including stunning Lake Hawea to the north.
12:00 pm Descend back into LHS for a well deserved cold drink, and some delicious lunch.
2:00 pm This afternoon there's an option to ride more, with a great ride along the shore of Lake Hawea. Stop and take a dip in the lake at a private beach. Relax at the Homestead and with an in-room massage (cost not included). Meet the farmers and hear about the sustainable farming practice that LHS is pioneering.

Day 3
After 2 days on the bike, it's time to put the feet. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on the balcony overlooking Lake Hawea before departing for Queenstown or your next night's accommodation.
